Jimmy Hamilton, Director of SVB-SA/Head Baseball Coach
Coach Hamilton just recently completed his second season with the Luray Wranglers as an assistant coach. Jimmy graduated from Turner Ashby High School in 1993. He was an All-District, Region and State Selection during his junior and senior year and a member of the State Runner-ups. He was drafted, as a pitcher, out of high school by the Chicago Cubs in the 25th round. He decided to attend Ferrum College. During the summer of 1995, he played for another Valley League team, the Staunton Braves, who were the VBL Champs that season.

After graduating in 1996, he was drafted in the 7th round by the Cleveland Indians and began his professional career. He played for various minor league teams until 2005 and he ended his professional career playing for an Italian League. In 2011, Coach Hamilton was named a Turner Ashby High School Hall of Fame member for his excellence in athletics and beyond. Return to the SVB-SA Coaches and Staff page.
