Jacob Cook, Baseball Coach
Coach Cook is in his second year coaching at Eastern Mennonite University. While at EMU, he has coached two summers in the NCAA-sanctioned Valley Baseball League serving as the pitching coach for the Harrisonburg Turks, and more recently the Rockbridge Rapids. He has also worked various camps as both a player and a coach.
Jacob Cook just recently finished his professional playing career with the Traverse City Beach Bums of the independent Frontier League.
Prior to playing for the Beach Bums, Coach Cook served as a farm hand in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. Before beginning his professional baseball career, Jacob played collegiately at James Madison University, where he still hold the career pitching appearance record of 92, is second all-time with 280 innings pitched and third all-time with 240 career strikeouts. He was also drafted out of high school by the Montreal Expos.
