Bobby Humphrey, Baseball Coach Coach Humphrey, originally from Traverse City, Michigan, is a Spring Arbor University alum, where he enjoyed being part of one of the top NAIA baseball programs in the nation, having played for legendary coach, Hank Burbridge.
After graduating from Spring Arbor, Coach Humphrey began his teaching career in Orlando, Florida, before moving to Virginia. Since, he has coached at various levels from little league through the Valley League. In addition to his experience, Coach Humphrey lead Robert E. Lee to its first regional play-off berth in nine seasons; this coming in only his second season as head coach. Among other coaching duties, Coach Humphrey serves as a heavily-involved associate scout for the New York Mets. He watches area high school and college talent during the spring and summer months, and reports directly to his area supervisor.
Coach Humphrey's developmental strengths include catching and hitting. He resides in Staunton and teaches fifth grade in Albemarle County.
